Check out this MF: POPESKA

Pacifiers are brilliant.  Aside from coming in all sorts of crazy colors with some having LED's built-in, it provides a barrier between bliss and withdrawal headaches from grinding your teeth and gnawing on the insides of your mouth.  Kandi Kidz really got it on this one.  You can also dip them in whatever gel or powder you want, and boom goes your dynamite.  yup.  Also, they create a great puckering shape to your mouth without having to walk around with ducklips all the time.  Go grab some in those crazy blacklight-friendly colors, but don't forget to be smart like the girl in the photo and make it a necklace.  You don't want to reuse if you ever drop it on a rage floor.

The track for this post is coming to us from 19-year old producer POPESKA out of Atlanta.  I've been a fan of his for quite some time now, but in the past couple weeks, every track he's dropped has been absolute nectar.  So, I'm going to give you two of his most recent bangers, You'll Never Know and Cowbell Boogie.  If you like these tracks, you'll enjoy a bunch of others on his Soundcloud, and if you've gotten a mixtape from me in the past months, you'll definitely recognize a few choice nuggets.  Definitely don't sleep on this guy.  He's quite talented.  Enjoy.  ;P

Driicky Graham and Knife Party Ft. Al3xtaylor - Snapbacks and Centipedes (5 & a Dime Bootleg)

You know when you wake up in the middle of the night and have a crick in your neck that you can't get over to fall back asleep?  Yeah, that's my situation right now.  Regardless, check out the hot girl above.  Damn, right?  I like the clear plastic frames she's wearing and the pants that she isn't.  Now every rave outfit should be a good mix of "I look good naked" and "I'm your dream girl." Yeah, that girl on that couch in those glasses...yep.  #winner

On to the music:

My friend first showed me Driicky Graham's "Snapbacks and Tattoos" a month ago, and we have collectively been hunting a remix of that track ever since.  This isn't a straight remix, but it's filthy, all the same.  DJ/Mashup artist 5 & A DIME, out of Philly, PA, has been getting filthier with every release.  His last track "Change" mixing DILLON FRANCIS and DIPLO was an absolute heater that got me thru the last two weeks.  And here he comes again.  Snapbacks already has a wonderful beat, but mixing in KNIFE PARTY's Centipede?? yup.  Turn up the volume just a lil bit (don't blow out your speakers) and get ready.  This one is only "kinda" filthy. ;P

Travis Porter - Ayy Ladies (Sam F Remix)

For your weekend, I present to you an absolute banger.  I mean, I just threw this track on, and the party just went hype.  So had to steal my girl's laptop to be sure to share this fire immediately. Enjoy.

So, from up and coming dubstep/electro producer out of Berkeley, CA, SAM F has an unprecedented talent in dropping some of the heavy bass without apologizing for it.  #swag  So, give this cat some love on his Facebook and soundcloud.  This is his remix of Travis Porter's Ayy Ladies.  And oh. my. god. Turn up your speakers and get ready to leave your dignity on the dancefloor because you are about to rage.  ;P

KDREW - Citadream (Mashup)

This one's bass-HEAVY.  Although it's a mashup, KDREW kills the rise on this by using vocal samples from Aerosmith's DREAM ON.  I'm a big fan of the classic song, mainly as a testament to Steven Tyler's vocal abilities.  However, KDREW just produces a banger by adding in the drop from his own track, CITADEL.  Check out the original track on his soundcloud.  ENJOY. :{o  <---handlebars. haha

And the rave attire of the day is: FISHNET STOCKINGS!!!

Yeah, pretty typical, but aside from the normal net pattern, this eye-puller is awesome with the "floral?" patterns.  Definitely would be awesome to look upon at shows.

Major Lazer - Original Don ft. Partysquad (Helicopter Showdown Remix)

Well, girl-brah's and brah's, I have a deep-set confession to make to all of you.  I have been holding out on you all like a grade-school teacher hiding a pinata.  Yeah, kinda epic imagery, right?  Truth be told, for years, I've given people my choice nuggets, and they abused the absolute sh*# out of them.  So, I couldn't even hang out with them cause they overplayed dirty tracks like Ryan Seacrest does every Sunday afternoon.  Regardless, I've come to realize that the bar should always be higher when it comes to my delivery.  Therefore, from here on out, you'll only get the absolute money tracks.  Updates may become more sporadic, but I swear to the good lord of bass that the wait will be absolutely worth it.

So without further ado, I give to you an absolute monster.

In the years that I have been scouring the internets for filth, you pray that one in a hundred tracks sound like this one.  Well, I'm here to say this right here (see below) is absolutely one of a kind.  Just the filthiest, grimiest track I've heard in a while.  I hope your ears can handle it.

Helicopter Showdown.  Learn that name.  He recently did some shows in P-cola, Mobile, Birmingham, and one of the college towns in Alabama (auburn or t-town, not sure which) with my boy Carlos and Dub Squared events.  Carlos has a knack for finding the best talent, and Helicopter Showdown does not disappoint.

Check out the track below and tell me that he doesn't set the bar for the future of dubstep.  Remixing MAJOR LAZER's ORIGINAL DON, zomg, so filthy.  If this track doesn't do it for you, go back into the woods, talk to your spirit animal, and figure out if dubstep is really for you because baby, this song is absolutely sick.

OH! and did i mention, it's absolutely free? $$$

Enjoy. ;P

The Wanted - Chasing the Sun (Hardwell Remix)

Today, I wanted to start off with the picture first because, let's be honest here, it's epic.  I swear to the heavens that I will remain his fan for life.  The Atypical Rave Attire for today is: The 90's graphic tee of some wild animal.  Everyone's aware of the sweet yellow dog tee that Mr. Galifianakis rocks in the Hangover Part 2.

I think everyone loves sweet animals and on a t-shirt at a show is a sweet place for it.  Just be prepared for the sweat marks on your lighter colors.  Black's a safe bet.

ON TO THE MUSIC....

Today's track is HARDWELL's remix of The Wanted's Chasing the Sun.  This is a solid house track with just a tinge of that bass-y goodness.  Have a listen.  I'm pretty sure everyone's heard of Hardwell, and if not, check out his remixes of Porter Robinson tracks on his soundcloud.  Turn up your speakers, and as always, enjoy. ;P

Wolfgang Gartner - Redline (Dotcom Remix)

This is a good week's starter track. DOTCOM has primarily been a mashup dj in my mind, but every track of his I have heard (maybe 4-5), they've been prime. This is a pretty sweet remix. I have no idea where he's from, but the only thing that you should care about is: he's got talent.

Enjoy. ;P

Time for hot girl picture time...haha, oh I mean "Atypical Rave Outfit." So this one is: the Cardigan!!!

Now, I know that you shouldn't be looking at anything in cotton, wool, rayon, polyester, or anything that insulates any type of body heat.  I'm thinking this should be a spandex garment that wicks away sweat for practicality.  REGARDLESS, I love the school girl motif here, which switches it up more from the bras and tutus out there (I love bras and tutus).

This one's TITLE is too long.

This one is in that weird genre-mixing grey area where the addition of grimey sub-bass simply adds to the funky-ness of the beat. Boom, boom.

This Calvin Harris, R3hab, and Example track got remixed in a major way. HENRY FONG from Orlando, FL is an asian with dreads. Need I say more? He's definitely an up and comer that you should not sleep on. Enjoy the track. (My body hurts.)

Kill Paris - I Do Love You

FIRST OFF, broke 100 views yesterday, you guys are awesome. Welcome to the site. Spread the word. Love you.

Kill Paris has been destroying these tracks of late. Now, I've gotten into some pretty bass heavy stuff lately (read: freakstep), but with his funky style that reads more like the nostalgia of a lost, better time, I've been saved from wobble-headedness. Hallelujah! Amen.

Kill Paris, AKA Corey Baker, hails from the sweet City of Angels. In much the same vein, he offers tutorials on production and offers all his tracks for free. The only declarative statement on his Soundcloud page is "sharing is caring." You should all support a selfless artist that's in it for the movement by bettering aspiring DJ's (in prevention of the Paris Hilton-types spinning any type of venue). This track, I DO LOVE YOU, self-categorized as "panty-soak and drop step," is precisely that. Go snag a listen, drop it onto your mobile devices, and put it on the "boom-boom room" playlist. Warning: don't listen to this unless you intend on "using it." Party on.

HOORAY!!! It's time for my new segment: ATYPICAL SHOW GARMENT OF THE DAY. Wordy? I know, but it's an excuse for me to put photos of women in a constructive, yet aesthetic manner. I think the plaid in this (I guess) bathing suit below is an excellent choice. It's thought-provoking with a hint of the school girl/swim bunny motif, but the boldness of the print really sets it apart for the typical solid colors that you see at shows. I'd couple this with some kind of skirt or fishnet or fluffies. (For future ref., I won't go into the why ever again, but it was already typed so I just left it. Yay, laziness.) Chick's hot, too. ;P

Don't let what happened to rap happen to EDM

EVERYONE. READ THIS NOW!

The Great EDM war has begun

12th Planet + Flinch - The End is Near Pt. 1

What a great day following a great night! I hope everyone raged hard for the freedoms that make this country great. I can say "titty sprinkles" and check it, I'm not in prison.

Ballin.

Here's a little nugget for you after the holiday. 12th Planet has some crazy funky skill for those of you that have seen the Electric Daisy Carnival Experience know what I mean (if you don't, go to netflix and watch it right now. Also, Flinch has been doing phenomenal work in the bass theory department. All in all, a solid track to get you thru to the weekend.

Bare - Fahrenheit (Original Mix)

I was driving down the road when this little gem came on. I couldn't help but start bobbing my head. Be forewarned...DO NOT TRY TO MOVE ANYTHING OTHER THAN YOUR BODY when playing this track.
This is a lesson in sub bass. One of the best this year thus far. So filthy, I may die. Enjoy. ;P

Joman - Daymanstep

If you have seen FX's It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, you will LOVE this track. GUARANTEED.

Joman out of Denver takes the infamous Dayman/Nightman musical and adds just the right amount of grime and pep. I mean, gross. Just GNASTY - that's right, nasty with a silent G...for gangsta. WHAT?!

FAIR WARNING: This is heavy bass.
