A$AP Rocky ft. Lana Del Ray - Ridin

THIS IS NOT EDM, but everyone needs good music in all genres. When this started playing on my phone and I really listened to it, A$AP Rocky murdered this track. Now, everybody knows about this kid's rising star, but he's been here for a minute. Just killing tracks until we took notice. He's really developed his flow, and this is a hell of a track to make an entrance into the popular arena. Well deserved.
Now back to the track. I mean, starting with the collab, Lana Del Ray has been hot in pursuit of becoming the more widely popular female vocal in EDM than my personal love, Ellie Goulding. With this track, she just won that race in my book. so lean back, turn your bass up, and just listen to this kid's rhythm. Oh. my.

Nancy Sinatra - Bang Bang (White Noise Remix)

And here we go for the weekend.  Before the subtle debauchery begins, I want to leave you guys with a little gem to get you ready.  Sync this to your mobile device and play in your car.  The beat will get you ready for anything.  From Mr. White Noise (which one? I'm not sure...there's apparently 30234098723 of them (exaggeration...). But whether it's our local hero or some German guy, the remix is still dirty.  Enjoy.

Griz - Better than I've Ever Been

Sampling a little Kanye West, the Michigan DJ/Producer GRIZ lays down some heavy, filthy basslines in this one.  He truly shows us what an artist can do with a computer.  It's the deerhunter of bass-heavy tracks (if you get that reference).  Check out his other tracks on his soundcloud.

Get ready.  It's sooo money.

INTERVIEW - Bassnectar with Complex

Here's a sweet interview with Lorin Ashton - Bassnectar.  As capitalism creeps into the EDM sector, I hope artists such as these remain honest and sincere to the genre.

Favorite quote: "Fuck it! I love strawberries!"

Second place: (in reference to collaborating with Lupe Fiasco) "I wanted our brains to play together." <-- so glad they did.

Nero - Must be a Feeling (Delta Heavy Remix)

So, my friend over at WBJ gave me some major love. Been copping his site for a hot minute, so here's a track from my private stocks that I'm releasing out to the public for my boy Nick.

Delta Heavy. Learn that name. From across the pond, but just funky and dirty. Click play and tell me different. #PLUR ;P

Oh! and if you haven't already heard, there's this MAJOR music festival for the southeast with a lineup that will finally make you feel like spending more money on entertainment than gas. ATL, baby! COUNTERPOINT. Check out the site below. Definitely affordable for a three-day bender. look at the prices.

Electrode and Astrio - Octanis (Kromly remix)

Here's a very grimey track from up and coming producer, KROMLY. He's out of Austin, TX and let me just say, I expect great things from this kid. He's not polished, but to deliver this level of filth in bass drops after just a couple years, he's got lots of potential. Cop this track. It should be in your freakstep/filthy grime playlist. ;P

Madeon - FINALE

Finally! This has been the track I have gotten most excited about. Not for posting, but for my own playlists. Yes.

MADEON is this dirty producer out of France. At 19, this kid is so talented. I mean, just listen to this, his first breakthrough hit Icarus, or his remix of Martin Solveig's The Night Out. It destroyed A-Trak's. Yes, they're too vary different styles, but the point of a remix is not a dj's personal spin but his personal attempt at making something better than the original. Sorry, I digress. Click play, DL, and you will not be disappointed.

Something non-electronic, but still a definite repeater (EDIT: halfway thru the post, I added electronic. Enjoy. :D)

I don't know who this is, but the composition is the perfect blend of happiness. Smile-inducer. :D And around minute 2:30 when it starts to get a little smoother, in pops in BIG SEAN. Perfect balance. Imagine the summer wind in your face with your windows rolled down. The bass hitting you acoustically in the eardrums, but loud enough to feel it in your chest. Music's better with the windows down. I proclaim this the track of summer 2012. Listen to it then show me something better. Fine, maybe this one.

Skrillex and Kaba (Ft. Wale) - Let's Get Down

Can't wait for the mastered to drop for this, but even at this quality, it's ear goodies. Skrillex? respect.

Kill Paris - I Wanna Be Your Lover

Kill Paris has been killing it. Most of his recent releases have been solid. With versatility. Yes.

Armin van Buuren - We are Here to Make Some Noise (Save the Rave Remix)

So here you go.  Something truly building to a drop.   I mean, the drop is just sick.  I mean, this is something everyone should just hear.  Now.  SPEAKERS. Up^^^^^^^^^^^^^!

YLUV - Never Touch the Ground (Gazzo Remix)

Here's an uplifting progressive house track for those of you that like happy music.  Gazzo is an incredible dj/producer that's been stirring up all kinds of trouble on the internet, and recently, he played some major festivals.  He's not a large name in the EDM scene, but with one listen to this track, you'll see he's got the talent to warrant a venture onto his soundcloud and see what he's been cooking up.  Shan't disappoint.

Fork'n'Knife - Lucky Star (Original)

I'm a sucker for female vocals on a bass-heavy track, especially when I have no idea what she looks like.  There's something mysterious and hauntingly beautiful about that.  This one's from up-n-comer, Fork'n'Knife, out of MOSCOW, RUSSIA.  Say what you will about the Eastern Block, but this is straight fire.  Turn your speakers up. (Failing that, headphones now!) ;)

Kanye West et. al - MERCY (FIGURE Remix)

Here's a banger for your weekends.  FIGURE remixes the club banger Mercy by Kanye West et. al.  Just the perfect mix of grime with hip-hop.  I usually need to change my pants when Figure drops something of this quality.  Thankfully, this time I wasn't wearing pants so...yup.  Turn up your speakers and rage.

Wynter Gordon - Dirty Talk (RUNVS Remix)

The vocals on this one is just delicious.

Slangor - Modulation Sock

This one is a little bit filthier.  I hope you have subs for it.

props to Memphis.

Adventure Club ft. Krewella - Rise and Fall (At Dawn We Rage Remix)

Download here (for the price of a like)

AT DAWN WE RAGE turned an instant classic into a banger.  Need I say more?

FINE.  ;P  They upped the tempo and turned an already beautifully complicit track into something grimier and filthier.  It's a great remix.  I mean, three seconds in and you'll start fist pumping and/or nodding your head.  I wouldn't say it's the summer's best, but it's a contender.  (still too early in rage season to tell)

For more info on the artist, check out their website.
